Baglio Amalfi Italian Bistro Cucina , vino&drinks

Our waiter, the owner, was very polite and prompt. The food, cooked by his wife was so delicious, even the neighborhood cat couldn’t keep himself away from the wonderful aroma - no matter how many times they tried to shoo him out! The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the view from the lower balcony breathtaking. The prices were in line with an elevated dining experience. Ben fatto, Baglio!

Horrible.. our worst meal of the trip.. foodies beware.. a tourist trap.. we should have known better having to pay 80€ for a table of 2, and you have to cancel 48 hours ahead of time.. but we figured it was finer dining and we wanted to have 1 nice meal.. well we struck out.. the wine was gross, the raviolis also gross.. the dough was hard & the filling was gritty.. I ate 1 and was done with it.. the only good part was the clam sauce it was served in which i used the bread (which also not good) to soak it up.. my friend had the gnocchi which was better than mine but also not good.. they were harder/gritty.. not the fluffy clouds you would expect while dining in Italy.. I really wanted tiramisu so i figured.. hey they can't mess that up too, and we wanted to make sure we reached out minimum of 75€ a person(also like is that a joke.. should have also known better with that).. I was wrong.. literally just tasted like I was taking a shot of rum and brandy / whatever alcohol they used.. by the time we got there at 7:30 for our reservation forget even enjoying the view because it was just pitch black outside... we were really trying to find good local, authentic gems on this trip.. and this was NOT it.. money NOT well spend & there's nothing worse than spending money on food you hated.. i have NO idea why this was rated so well.. Update: replying to the chefs response.. 1. Point proven with that response 2. Sir i truly wish I did not dine with you but I unfortunately did on September 19th, so you might want to recheck the reservation list. This review was intended for you, not “your competitor” 3. Following up with your “drink less in the evening” did you miss the part where we didn’t even finish the wine we ordered.. ?

Wonderful food! Owners are very friendly and welcoming. View is spectacular - entire combination makes this a really excellent choice! I ordered local specialty ravioli - explosion of flavor from cheese, lemon curd, mint was really wonderful. Tiramisu for dessert was a great choice too - the long lasting flavor was unique and very enjoyable! Thank you for creating such delightful experience!

This was our best meal in Italy. Period. There are many amazing views of the Amalfi Coast but a window side seat over looking the water....beneath the mouth of a giant cave in the mountain....and also with private balcony to juts out over the water were stunning!!! The food was 100/10!! Drinks were also 100/10. Husband and wife run the whole show here, Albino takes care of you in the in house and Serena is an amazing chef!! The sauce on the fish we had....we wish it came with a straw! So good!!

We have been here twice during our week in Amalfi. Restaurant is run by husband and wife only team. Food was delicious. Service was impeccable and atmosphere sublime. Beautifully and tastefully furnished restaurant. You have to book in advance as they only have 6 tables. They do not offer a taxi service and this is your responsibility. Previous review was very unjustified in rating a one star. We loved all our dishes and want to thank Albino and Serena for their wonderful hospitality.

This is a family owned restaurant with a very refined look. The owner and his wife are friendly and gracious hosts who gave us a table just walking in after a party backed out. They are experts in Italian Cuisine and I can confidently say this is one of my top 10 dining experiences ever. In my opinion they are especially good at seafood dishes. There is balcony that gives you an extraordinary view from the heights of the area.
